A Lil Something About Me

I'm going to be REALLY honest here. Keep in mind that since high school I've been training people....
So let's start off with "old Rob".
I used to play football, wrestle, and do track and field. I liked each sport in that order. Football is my first love and kind of my only. Wrestling and track I have a love/hate thing with them. I was a running back in football, the highest weight class I've wrestled was 138lbs, and for track I did the 4x1, javelin, and pole vault. But anyways, as you can see that I've always been an active and in shape person..
*HERE COMES THE HONESTY PART* .
I NEVER LIKED WORKING OUT! I know, I know. "Well why did you always work so hard?" I like to be a part of why a team wins. The way to do that is to be one of the best. That's what I always strived to be. "One of the best." .
UNTIL! I was done playing football. This was "new Rob".
At this point, I was just working at a Mental Health Facility and I returned back to my college to assist as a Running Back  coach. I think I did a pretty decent job. Not the point, though. The problem was I lost my motivation to stay in shape. After, 16 YEARS of football training, 7 YEARS of wrestling training, and 4 YEARS of track and field training I was: 1.) BEAT DOWN! / torn shoulders /  lower back fractures / Both of my knees would give out without warning / Tendons in my hands partially torn and healed incorrectly / And just all around random pains.    So I took this time to rest my body, let it heal, and do some self rehab..   AND  .
2.) Like I said earlier.. I HATE working out. So I finally had a chance to just sit around and do nothing. I loved it; for a time. There was nothing to motivate me to work out. .
Fast forward about 22 months.
It's been a little over 2 years since I've really got back into working out. Other than slight rehab workouts to get rid of pain, I did nothing. I gained about 25-30lbs of fat (I'm about 210lbs... okay 215lbs), lost some muscle, looked in the mirror, and told myself I need to get back to the old grind. Especially since I still was training other people. I did not like how my body felt. I was, you know, sluggish, and got winded by getting out of my bed to go grab my delivery food from the door. .
That's when I decided enough is enough and it's time to get to "old Rob" then surpass him. So yeah... that's my story. .
